From the Families We Serve
Wei-Ling Chang
Daughter, Wanhua District · Feb 2026
My mother was resistant to the idea of having someone help her at home — she's always been very independent. The Solvine coordinator was patient in how they introduced the caregiver. Three months in, my mother actually looks forward to those morning visits. I did not expect that.
Chen Jun-Ming
Son, Zhongzheng District · Jan 2026
We started with the household and meal service for my father. The caregiver is thoughtful — she noticed he doesn't like certain vegetables and adjusted the meals without us asking. That kind of attention makes a real difference. The only thing I'd say is that setting up the initial plan took longer than I expected, but it was worth taking that time.
Huang Shu-Ling
Granddaughter, Xinyi District · Mar 2026
I was handling my grandmother's care from overseas, which is stressful. Solvine made the communication easy — I got regular updates through my aunt and could raise questions without feeling like I was bothering anyone. Knowing there's a consistent person with her each day has genuinely reduced my anxiety.
Lin Bao-Cheng
Son-in-law, Datong District · Feb 2026
My mother-in-law has some specific dietary restrictions, and I was concerned about whether a caregiver would be able to manage that properly. They've handled it well from the first week. She's been eating better, and the house is tidier than it was when she was managing on her own. It's a relief.
Yang Fang-Yi
Daughter, Beitou District · Jan 2026
We've had three different caregivers over the past year due to schedule changes. Each time, Solvine was upfront about why and introduced the new person properly. The transitions weren't as disruptive as I feared — they clearly put thought into the handover. I appreciated how honestly they communicated throughout.
Tsai Hong-Wei
Spouse, Wanhua District · Mar 2026
My husband has been on the full-day care programme for six months now. Having the same person arrive every day has made him feel secure — he knows what to expect, and that matters at his age and with his health. Solvine has been steady and dependable, which is exactly what we needed.

Family Stories in Detail
Behind each engagement is a real situation. Here are three that show how our different services work in practice.
The Challenge
An 81-year-old woman in Wanhua living alone, with two working children who could not be present during morning hours. She had been skipping meals and struggling with morning hygiene tasks.
The Approach
We arranged Morning & Evening Routine visits — a caregiver arriving at 7:30 AM and again at 6:30 PM. We matched her with someone calm and unhurried, which suited her personality.
What Changed
Within a month, she was eating consistently and managing her mornings more comfortably. Her children described noticeable improvement in her mood. She has continued with the same caregiver for over a year.
The Challenge
A 77-year-old retired teacher living with her adult son. She was physically capable but the household had become difficult to manage — meals were irregular and the home cluttered. Her son worked long hours.
The Approach
Household & Meal Support three times a week. The caregiver was briefed on her food preferences and the household layout. Her son was kept updated with a brief note after each visit.
What Changed
The home became tidier, meals more varied and regular. She told her son she felt less burdened by the home and started going for her regular walks again. Service has continued for 14 months.
The Challenge
An 84-year-old man post-hospital discharge, needing full-day support during recovery. His daughter lived overseas. He was unfamiliar with having a caregiver and initially uncomfortable with the arrangement.
The Approach
Personalised Full-Day Care, with extra attention paid to the caregiver introduction. We chose someone who was patient and respectful of his pace. The care plan started minimal and expanded as comfort grew.
What Changed
Within six weeks, he accepted morning and evening care fully and started accompanying the caregiver on short walks. His daughter received weekly updates by phone. The placement has continued for eight months.
